BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- China firmly opposes the U.S. plan to deploy land-based medium-range missiles in the Asia-Pacific and European regions, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Tuesday.
Business owner Diego Tangarife also highlighted the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative for global development, saying it fosters greater international cooperation.
"Their allegations are fanfare for ideological confrontation and the Cold War mentality," Yang said. "They are nothing short of discredit to the enormous efforts and contributions made throughout past decades by people across the two societies to promote the development of China-U.S. relations."
"We urge the U.S. side to abide by the one-China principle and the provisions of three China-U.S. joint communiques, stop official interactions and contact of all kinds as well as the upgrading of substantive relations with the island, and handle Taiwan-related issues in a prudent and proper manner, so as not to seriously damage China-U.S. cooperation in major areas as well as peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait," Zhao added. Enditem
-- China-U.S. cooperation has never been a case of one party giving favor to the other, or one party taking advantage of the other.
BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Starting a "diplomatic war" does not prove the strength of the United States, but exposes its increasing lack of confidence, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Wednesday.
The Chinese lab sets a good example as Iraq expands labs in all provinces, Mahdi said. In the new lab, 82 percent of the samples posted results in 6 to 10 hours.
From boosting testing capacities to setting a high standard of testing protocol, the lab has played a critical role in helping the Iraqi Ministry of Health (MOH) battle COVID-19 since its inauguration in Baghdad's Medical City on March 25, lab director Mohammed Ghanim Mahdi said.
Fourth, abandon the zero-sum mentality and stand up to shared responsibilities. "Our world still faces many global challenges. Traditional and non-traditional security challenges are intertwined. Almost all regional and international hotspot issues require a coordinated response from China, the United States and other countries," he said.
"A new Cold War between the United States and China would be something else entirely. It is difficult to see how it could be fought effectively, not to mention successfully," Coats said.
