ISTANBUL, Aug 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. efforts to clamp down on popular short video-sharing app TikTok is part of a broader attempt to curb China's technological sector, a Turkish expert has said.
Slovenia and the United States signed a so-called joint declaration on security of 5G networks during Pompeo's visit. ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, said Friday in a statement that Washington's ban on the popular app has started a dangerous precedent violating the freedom of expression and the open-market principle, and it will "pursue all remedies available ... if not by the Administration, then by the U.S. courts."
