It is not right timing for China to join U.S.-Russia arms control talks: Chinese ambassador

China denounces U.S. suppression of Chinese high-tech firms

"We urge the U.S. side to heed rational voices from within and from the international community, correct its wrongdoing, refrain from politicizing economic issues and stop suppressing relevant enterprises, to create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for companies worldwide to have normal business operations and investments," Wang added. The spokesperson said that focusing on fighting the virus and saving lives should be the one true task at hand for the United States, not regurgitating excuses to shift the blame to China, as confirmed cases in the country surged over 5 million and deaths over 160,000. Enditem

Sorasak said during the COVID-19 outbreaks, Cambodia and China had shown solidarity to alleviate the pandemic and to navigate economic recovery.

The international community won't be fooled by the pirate-like bullyism under the guise of national security. Even the U.S. allies have protested against the brazen tricks.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the founding of the United Nations. "We must not allow the international system to be undermined arbitrarily, or the world divided again," Wang said.

The remarks were made by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin in response to U.S. executive orders issued Thursday, which ban transactions carried out by American companies or individuals with parent companies of WeChat and TikTok apps.

"Cooperation between China and the United States has always been conducted for mutual benefit," he said, adding the two countries have had productive cooperation in such areas as counter-terrorism, non-proliferation and narcotics control, among others.

In one of the videos, his 8-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter extended their blessings and expressed solidarity with China, speaking in fluent Chinese. "We were born and brought up in China, let us overcome the difficulties together. Stay strong, Wuhan. Stay strong, China."

"Today we are in the 21st century. Why should we allow history to repeat? Why should we repeat what happened in the last century when we are faced with so many new challenges, global challenges? I don't think a new cold war would serve anybody's interests or will give us any solution to the problem," Cui said, responding to a question on the recent speech on China by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at the Nixon Library.

BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- China hopes the United States could open up its research base at Fort Detrick to the media, release more information about its over 200 bio-labs overseas, and invite WHO experts to the United States for COVID-19 origin-tracing investigations, a foreign ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.
