BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Politicians and experts around the globe believe that provoking a so-called new Cold War is remarkably detrimental. Instead, the United States should meet China halfway.
Zhao made the remarks at a press briefing when asked to make comment on U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, who said during his visit to Taiwan that China "chose not to" warn the world about COVID-19 and betrayed the cooperative spirit needed for global health.
China is now working with the government and people of Fiji to build a comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual respect and common development, said Qian, adding the purpose of the visit is to explore the possibility for future cooperation.
"China's door to dialogue remains open. We are willing, in the spirit of equality and open-mindedness, to talk and interact with the United States, and resume dialogue mechanisms at all levels and in all fields," said Wang. Enditem
"China-U.S. cooperation has never been a case of one party giving favor to the other, or one party taking advantage of the other. Both countries have benefited much from this cooperation," he stressed
Meanwhile, Ahmed al-Banna, an Egyptian designer and consultant of Egypt's new capital project, said the CSCEC not only ensured the project's continuous production, but also implemented effective anti-pandemic measures.
According to Zhao, China's decision stems from the wrongdoings of the U.S. side. The sanctions, effective from Monday, are applied to U.S. officials, including Senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton and Pat Toomey, Representative Chris Smith, and Carl Gershman, President of the National Endowment for Democracy, Derek Mitchell, President of the National Democratic Institute, Daniel Twining, President of the International Republican Institute, Kenneth Roth, Executive Director of Human Rights Watch, and Michael J. Abramowitz, President of Freedom House.
So far, an industrial cluster has been formed at the zone, featuring industries of building materials, petroleum equipment, high and low pressure equipment and machinery manufacturing, said Cao Xue, brand director of the strategy department of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co. Ltd., the operating body of the zone.
However, the U.S. government is sticking to the wrong path. By wantonly breaching the privacy of government officials targeted by the "sanctions," the United States has gone against its own stance on democracy, freedom and respect for human rights.
The announcement came as I was about to attend a press conference held by the Chinese mission to the United Nations (UN).
It must be pointed out that U.S. accusations against the national security law for Hong Kong go against facts, and have legal and logical fallacies.
